Remi Wolf New York Concert reviews
John warned us.........
The show opener was The Authority Song, warning us that this would not be an oldies show. Yet, Remi Wolf is the Authority who decides what to sing and he wins. There were other oldies sprinkled in here and there. Jack and Diane might not be recognized right off the bat - interesting rendition. It was a nice thought, but the show begins with an hour-long movie of his 2009 tour with Willie Nelson. It was more of a chance to visit than watch a movie - after all, we were there for the "LIVE" performance.
Remi Wolf has a great rapport and interaction with the audience. The concert does not proceed at a frenzied pace but pauses with stories about the songs. Hooters and hollerers don't faze him. Remi's concert included a variety of anthem, ballad, blues, and country style music. He sounds great, looks great, dances great, and performs a great concert - but no encore, boo hoo.
Now, here's a quest if you like "Find Waldo" books. Remi Wolf has a little statue on stage with him, and if you are sitting far away, you will need binoculars. See if you can find the statue and determine the identity.
